11 weeks

My how time flies...

So we have been working through our reflux, getting better and keeping more food down.  The medicine must finally be working! Man it was touch and go for a bit, thought I was about to lose it.

Right now we must be going through a growth spurt, lots of sleep and hungry all the time.  The nights have been blissful, sleeping 5-7 hour stretches.

Also having an acne problem, I am thinking some of it is due to the constant drool and bubbles.

We are about to embark on our first airplane flight, five hours to Perth, Australia.  Dirk has meetings for work and we wanted to tag along and see some of Western Australia.  So we are heading on a road trip down the coast hitting Margaret River, Denmark, Albany, and some other lovely cities along the way.  We will also be making a stop to see the Vaughn's and Sara Laster who all live in Perth.

I have daddy's nose for sure!

New Kicks... well borrowed kicks

Dylan got some new borrowed shoes today, some Pumas from his friend Connor Lyons.  I think he liked them...

His feet are so big compared to his body!  These are a size one.

Pumas!

Finally a picture with mommy!

Happy Baby is Reappearing...

So someone was a little more happy today, thankfully!  We didn't have any more projectile throw up and less crying after feeds... so maybe the medication is finally working or maybe he just had a tummy bug.  Who knows with babies....

I did get to weigh him today and to my surprise he is still gaining weight even with all the vomiting.  So he gained almost 5 ounces since Thursday.   So we are going in the right direction, how we get there really doesn't matter I guess, just as long as we stay happy :)

Today was on and off happy... I still think we are working things out but I am So So glad my happy baby is coming back!

I promise I have more clothes....

He has more clothes but they don't fit yet.  I did find these cute shorts, not sure where I got them, aren't they cute?  We headed to Orchard again this weekend so Dirk could get his tailored items back.

This was the beginning to a very long day.  I don't think I could stand having a child that screamed all the time.  I think this was our first dose and I am sure it wasn't as bad as some people have it.

We think he has reflux, the medication has been slow to work, and the projectile vomit keeps coming.  Today was 10 times better than yesterday and our happy baby is slowly returning.  Just in case it isn't reflux, I am cutting out all dairy and soy from my diet to combat a possible allergy.  Time will tell... and maybe I will lose the rest of this weight :)

Check me out!

Very nautical today

Table Talk

Having a conversation with dad on the dinner table in my Bumbo chair.

Already questioning what daddy has to say

He sure has learned to be vocal and talk back when you are talking to him.  He looked right at Dirk the whole time and carried on a conversation in all vowels.

The Bumbo chair is becoming a favorite as well but we tend to get tired and fall over.

Mind the new dinner chairs, I finally bought some for the table that I bought back in July.  We are going with the whole "Game of Thrones" look here in the Dunlap house.  Now just need some goblets and crowns... halloween costume maybe??

Lunching on Orchard

Dirk dressed him this morning and said since we were going to Orchard to get some tailored shirts made for him, Dylan needed to look his best.  So here he is all dressed up in his anchor shirt.  Too bad he threw up on it several times...

2 months old

Just along for the ride.

I can't wait to come home from work on Saturdays and see what Dirk has him wearing then??  I often wake up and find the boy dressed in nothing but his diaper while he sleeps after daddy's shift.  I am so glad I have a partner in Dirk, he really is the other half :)

Mr. Frog

Mr. Frog hangs from my car seat and travels with me everywhere and he usually never shuts up- Dylan

He has just started noticing these toys and the music that the frog plays.  This was the first time I put them on the car seat and it kept him quiet for a WHOLE hour!  Amazing...  I think he really likes Mr. Frog.

Who are YOU? And what are you doing?
Love the furrowed brow... Dirk definitely has this look.

I think this was the look for the whole hour!

Two Months

So we made it through our vaccines, whew, I was worried about those!  I didn't actually see him get the injections, Dirk held him while I waited in the breastfeeding room.  He took them like a champ though, only cried for a short while and then came to me for some grub.  He wasn't too fussy afterwards either, just has been sleeping a TON!  I can't believe how much he has been sleeping!  The first night after the jabs was 7 hours straight!  He might be going through a growth spurt too, I swear he woke up yesterday a new baby.

He has great head control now.

He is noticing his toys, different voices, and lights.

He loves high pitched voices.  My friend Erin called from the U.S. to Skype and he was inthralled with her voice, kept starring at the computer the whole time.

He is more vocal, lots of vowel sounds, and talking back to you using these sounds.  Today we had a whole conversation in vowels... I love how he is so much more interactive now!

He does have a new tummy problem, although the gas has subsided for now.  He has been having reflux which usually comes after a big feed.  The routine after feeding is a BIG stretch with hands above head and legs out straight, a couple of BIG burps, and then throwing up a couple of times.  Sometimes so much we go through several changes of clothes, mommy included.

Here are is his stats, the doctor wasn't too impressed with his weight gain.  We decided it was due to a cold he had this month plus the reflux.  Solution now is smaller more frequent feeds.  Although my mom says I was always in the 25 percentile for weight until I reached adulthood.  Dirk on the other hand weighed more at birth than Dylan does at two months.
