A&M vs Idaho
We were all decked out in our Aggie gear cheering on our team from Singapore.
Today Dylan turned 7 weeks old and is now a whopping 7 lb. 13 oz. He had his first cold this weekend which was pure torture for mommy, but looks like we made it through it. Even made a humidifier purchase for $169, fun times living in Asia!
I freaked at the sound of a congested baby and took him to the doctor, I am sure I will be making many more first time mommy trips to the clinic... even though being a nurse, it is totally different when it is your child. You second guess yourself left and right. And just to clarify it wasn't torture because the baby was fussy sick, it was torture just seeing him so sick. I can't stand seeing him in pain, vaccines are going to be tough. I will be the one sitting in the breastfeeding room crying for sure! I was the one who rushed to the doctor's office without her wallet, I always asked myself how people did that... now I know...
Dylan is, thank the Lord, a very easily settled baby and when he does cry it usually is for only a couple of reasons, reasons that I can usually figure out pretty fast. I can't wait till he starts smiling at people. Here are a couple of things he is doing at 7 weeks...
The tongue is in FULL force, sticking it out, licking, and moving it around.
He loves to sit up right and just look around, especially while being burped. I can't wait till he can sit in his bumbo chair, he will be so content.
His hands are constantly in his mouth or around his face, he loves to have them close, just like when he was in the womb. Almost every ultrasound his hands were next to his face or fingers in the mouth.
Still loving the bath tub.
Looking up at me and noticing more people. He starred at Jessica Lyons forever the other night when she held him.
He knows who his mommy is for sure. He is almost beside himself when we are about to feed but doesn't fuss just waits patiently with mouth open and ready to go. He is such a patient little guy when he knows he is in my arms... just LOVE it.
